The Rio Creek Airport is home to the Rio Creek Aviators, an organization formed in August of 1975. In the past the Aviators had as many as 15 members active in aviation. A month after forming, the aviators purchased an airplane that they still have in use today, a 1968 Piper Cherokee 140.
Currently, there are three members: Frank Fameree of Luxemburg, Duane Fameree of Algoma, and Don Walter of Rio Creek.
